Trinity is the successor to Tonasket and is the first motherboard used in the Xbox 360 S. Despite being completely redesigned, it still functions similarly to the previous consoles and operates similarly.
Notable Differences
- Completely redesigned the motherboard and console
- The Loki CPU and Kronos GPU have been replaced with the Vejle CGPU
- Samsung K4J10324QD-HC14 RAM has been replaced with Samsung K4J10324KE-HC14
- Elpida U1032AABG-14-F RAM was added as an option
- Qimonda HYB18H1G321AF-14 is no longer used
- The voltage regulation has been completely redesigned
- The rear I/O has been redesigned with a new dual barrel DC jack, more USB ports, SPDIF, and the Kinect port
- ST NAND128W3A2BN6 nand chip was added as an option
- 256MB and 512MB nand chips are no longer used - but still supported by the motherboard
- A Memory Unit daughterboard was added on 4GB SKUs
- WiFi has been added via a module that plugs into the motherboard inside the chassis
- Audible Feedback has been added for the touch sensitive power button
- The 1409 and 1410 RF boards are now used
- A combined heatsink is used for the CGPU
- Later models switched from the Tall Slug heatsink to the Short Slug heatsink
