The Philips & BenQ VAD6038 is a DVD drive used in the Original Xbox 360 series. It is the successor to the Toshiba Samsung TS-H943 and Hitachi-LG GDR-3120L.
Information
There are two firmware versions used on the drive, 6493 and 0442. 6493 drives were updated to 0442 when installing the 2.0.13141.0 update. This drive was used on Zephyr and Falcon systems. It was also used on refurbished Xenon systems. All firmware versions have support for AP2.5 security.
