The Philips & BenQ VAD6038 is a DVD drive used in the Original Xbox 360 series. It is the successor to the Toshiba Samsung TS-H943 and Hitachi-LG GDR-3120L.
Information
There are two firmware versions used on the drive, 64930C and 04421C. 64930C drives were updated to 04421C when installing the 2.0.13141.0 update. This drive was used on Zephyr and Falcon systems. It was also used on refurbished Xenon. All firmware versions have support for AP2.5 security.
