The Xbox 360 is a home video game console developed by Microsoft. It is the successor to the original Xbox and is part of the seventh generation of video game consoles.

There are primarily 3 different versions of the Xbox 360 produced during the lifespan of the console (2005-2016).

Xbox 360 (Original)

Launched in Late 2005, the original Xbox 360 consoles (colloquially known as the "Phat") come in multiple different SKUs.

Xbox 360 Core

The Xbox 360 Core is the launch entry level model of the Xbox 360. It uses the Xenon motherboard and does not come with a hard drive. The only accessories are a wired controller and a composite A/V cable. The Core is white and can be distinguished from other SKUs by its white eject button and DVD drive bezel.

Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 (also known as the Xbox 360 Pro or Xbox 360 Premium) is the standard launch model. It is white and uses a chrome eject button and DVD tray bezel. At launch, it used the Xenon motherboard but was later updated to use the Zephyr, Falcon, and Jasper motherboards. This model includes a 20GB hard drive, a wireless controller, a component A/V cable, an ethernet cable, and an Xbox Live headset. Versions with the Zephyr or newer motherboards also came with an HDMI cable.

Xbox 360 Elite

The Xbox 360 Elite was a top end model of the original Xbox 360 series and was introduced in early 2007. The Elite has a matte black finish with a chrome eject button and DVD tray bezel. It used a Zephyr motherboard and was later updated with the Falcon, and both Jasper motherboards. The Elite includes a 120GB hard drive, a black wireless controller, an HDMI cable, a component A/V cable, an ethernet cable, and a black Xbox Live headset.

Xbox 360 Arcade

The Xbox 360 Arcade replaced the Xbox 360 Core as the entry level model of the Xbox 360. It used the Falcon motherboard and was later updated to both Jasper motherboards. The Arcade includes a wired controller, a 256MB memory unit (except on Jasper versions), and a composite A/V cable. Like the Core, the Arcade is white and can be distinguished from other SKUs by its white eject button and DVD drive bezel.
