The Backup Clock Generator was added to the Xenon motherboard due to the ANA's clock generator having excessive PLL jitter. Starting in Zephyr, the PLL jitter was fixed in HANA and thus the Backup Clock Generator was removed.

The chip used is a Cypress CY28517. Pre final motherboards used the ICS MK1493.

Specifications

  • 4x 100MHz differential: CPU, GPU, PCIe, SATA
  • 1x 48MHz single ended: SMC, USB
