The Trinity is the successor to the Tonasket, and is the first motherboard used in the Xbox 360 S. Despite being completely redesigned, it still functions similarly to the previous consoles and operates similarly.
Notable Differences
- Completely redesigned the motherboard and console
- The CPU and GPU have been replaced with the Valhalla CGPU
- Samsung K4J10324QD-HC14 has been replaced with Samsung K4J10324KE-HC14
- 4x128MB Elpida U1032AABG-14-F was added as an option
- The voltage regulation has been completely redesigned
- The rear I/O has been redesigned with a new DC Jack, more USB ports, SPDIF, and the Kinect port
- 256MB and 512MB are no longer used - but still supported by the motherboard
- A 4GB Memory Unit daughterboard was added on 4GB SKUs
- WiFi has been added
- Audible Feedback has been added for the touch sensitive power button
- The 1409 and 1410 RF boards are now used
- A combined heatsink is used for the CGPU
- Later models switched from the Tall Slug heatsink to the Short Slug heatsink
