The Trinity is the successor to the Jasper Tonasket and is the first motherboard used in the Xbox 360 S. Despite being completely redesigned, it still functions similarly to the previous consoles and operates similarly.
Notable Differences
- Completely redesigned the motherboard and console
- The CPU and GPU have been replaced with the Valhalla CGPU
- Samsung K4J10324QD-HC14 RAM has been replaced with Samsung K4J10324KE-HC14
- Elpida U1032AABG-14-F RAM was added as an option
- The voltage regulation has been completely redesigned
- The rear I/O has been redesigned with a new dual barrel DC jack, more USB ports, SPDIF, and the Kinect port
- ST NAND128W3A2BN6 nand chip was added as an option
- 256MB and 512MB nand chips are no longer used - but still supported by the motherboard
- A Memory Unit daughterboard was added on 4GB SKUs
- WiFi has been added via a module that plugs into the motherboard inside the chassis
