The Zephyr motherboard has 3 different versions with very minor differences.

Zephyr_A

Zephyr_A is the successor to Xenon and is used in the Original Xbox 360 series. It is the first motherboard to feature HDMI.

Notable Differences

Zephyr_B

Zephyr_B is the successor to Zephyr_A and is used in the Original Xbox 360 series.

Notable Differences

  • The 90nm Y1 GPU has been replaced with the 80nm Y2 GPU
  • The PCIe pads under the GPU have been de-swizzled in order to support the Y2 GPU
  • The extended GPU heatsink is always used, in place of the low profile GPU heatsink

Zephyr_C

Zephyr_C is the successor to Zephyr_B and is used in the Original Xbox 360 series. The part number is the same as Zephyr_B, as the PCB itself did not change.

Notable Differences

  • The 80nm Y2 GPU has been replaced with the 80nm Rhea GPU, which shrinks the eDRAM to 80nm
